Job summary

Pittsfield Public Schools is seeking a CTE paraprofessional at Taconic High School to support teachers in implementing instructional programs for secondary students. You will assist in student assessment, maintain performance records, and help manage classroom behavior.

Some experience in CTE settings and willingness to pursue industry certificates are preferred. The role is a full-time position for the 2026/27 school year, with responsibilities including collaboration with teachers to implement

Qualifications

• Must be "Highly Qualified" as proscribed by NCLB (Associate's degree or passing Para Pro or Work Keys assessment)
• Experience working with secondary students; experience in CTE areas preferred
• Ability to assist the teacher and student in the instructional program, assess performance, and maintain records
• Position for the 2026/27 school year only
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required

• Assist teachers in implementing instructional programs and duties
• Assist in assessing student performance
• Maintain records and data on student performance
• Monitor student behavior and support appropriate classroom behavior
• Assist in implementing IEPs, where applicable
