Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) seeks a competent CTD Director to coordinate and oversee the training and development department for a state facility. You will ensure staff orientation, training, and competence across roles, manage curriculum development, and ensure regulatory compliance.

The role requires advanced training leadership, program design, evaluation, and a track record of developing and delivering continuing education.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of policies and procedures relevant to the facility, HHSC, the State of Texas, and the CTD Department.
• Knowledge of adult education principles, practices, and techniques.
• Knowledge of training procedures and methods.
• Knowledge of group processes, dynamics, and interpersonal relations.
• Skills in designing, writing, editing, and producing educational, informational, and technical materials for various audiences.
• Skills in analyzing data for training materials and departmental reports.
• Ability to lead, instruct, and motivate others in a professional manner.
• Ability to evaluate training effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee the CTD Department and all activities to ensure staff are oriented, trained, and competent.
• Plan, design, implement, coordinate, and evaluate all facility training programs and curricula.
• Ensure training offerings meet compliance and continuing education requirements.
• Supervise CTD staff and prepare training reports for internal and regulatory standards.
