Job Summary

We're offering a generous sign-on bonus of $10,000.00 (for full-time positions) to welcome you to our team. Recognizing and valuing exceptional talent, we're eager to discuss the exciting details of this bonus during our interview process.

The primary purpose of your job position is to perform all patient exams with the highest degree of skill, fully utilizing all radiographic, fluoroscopic, and CAT scan equipment and protocol to consistently obtain images which demonstrate diagnostic levels of radiographic density, contrast, and resolution. You will respond to on-demand requests for service in a timely manner.

Essential Functions
  • Operates radiographic and fluoroscopic fixed equipment.
  • Operates the standard C-Arm under both sterile and non-sterile conditions.
  • Operates and is familiar with techniques for portable x-ray unit.
  • Understanding of EPIC.
  • Has training & experience starting IVs.
  • Produces the expected levels of production (volume) at reasonable speeds and on schedule.
  • Experience with MRI scanning.
  • Repeat rate at 6% or below.
  • Properly utilizes all radiation protection/shielding procedures for patients and staff.
  • Ensures the physical safety of patients and staff.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly environment, supplies for all exams and procedures.
  • Provides courteous and professional services to patients and visitors.
  • Utilizes departmental and hospital information systems for patient care.
  • Corrects exams in EPIC as needed.
  • Submits help desk tickets when necessary.
  • Communicates with teleradiology when needed.
  • Adheres to two patient identifiers with all patients.
  • Familiar with forms for job injuries and incident reports.
  • Checks PACs after exams, prints films/CDs upon request.
  • Follows sterile procedures in the OR.
  • Participates in reception, film library, and transport functions.
  • Engages in ongoing education and maintains required credits.
  • Provides age-appropriate patient care across all specified age groups.
  • Assesses patient behavior, motor skills, and physiological norms.
  • Modifies approaches based on psychological development and potential lifestyle changes.
  • Identifies support needs, evaluates for abuse/neglect, and refers appropriately.
  • Uses age-appropriate communication techniques.
Qualifications

Education: Radiology certificate/diploma required. Experience cannot substitute for a degree.

Licenses and Credentials: Registered Technologist [ARRT-R], Massachusetts State License.

Experience: 2-3 years, with a B.S. or equivalent, and completion of a radiologic technology program with clinical training in CAT scanning.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Current unencumbered license in MA, ARRT registration, English proficiency, decision-making ability, tactful communication, leadership skills, organizational skills, patience, willingness to incorporate new methods, minimum age 23.
