Job summary

Envision Imaging is seeking a full-time CT/X-Ray Technologist to join our Rockwall outpatient imaging team. Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with a pay range of $35.35–$45.57 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package.

The role performs diagnostic CT and X‑Ray exams, optimizes protocols, and ensures patient safety and image quality. Ideal candidates hold ARRT CT and Radiography licenses, ARRT certification, and have strong patient education and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• ARRT CT and Radiography (R) certification required.
• Graduate of an accredited radiologic technologist program.
• Two years CT and X-ray experience preferred.
• Ability to educate patients on procedures and safety.
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT and X-Ray exams with proper technique and positioning.
• Adjust equipment settings for optimum image quality and patient safety.
• Review patient history and consent, screen for implants/contraindications.
• Transfer images to radiologists and assist with interpretations.
• Coordinate protocols with radiologists and maintain equipment.
• Ensure PPE use and monitor exposure levels; report issues promptly.
• Assist in procedures and prep in accordance with safety guidelines.
• Maintain documentation and follow up on imaging requests.
• Adhere to compliance, ethics, and company policies.

Description

Envision Imaging is looking for a full-time CT/X-Ray Technologist to join our team!
Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM | Position Pay Range $35.35 - $45.57

Summary/Objective:

The CT/X-Ray Technologist performs various types of diagnostic X-Ray procedures and CT examinations. Adjusts equipment settings, determines proper voltage and exposure and positions patient. Performs specific procedures utilizing ionizing radiation and cross-sectional anatomical scans using proper technical factors and computer programs to provide image and numerical values of tissue density. Assists in assigned examination utilizing contrast media and/or specific tomographic examinations.

Essential Functions

• 1. Interfaces with patient to ascertain medical history and provides instructions and explanation of the procedure and/or exam to obtain the best possible image.
• 2. Reviews patient charts for missed clinical information and/or consent. Screens patients for surgical and other implants, contrast allergies, etc.
• 3. Obtains prior films/exams as needed and performs high quality scans to submit to the Radiologist for interpretation.
• 4. Performs exams while attending to patient’s care before, during and following exam and notifies the appropriate party if patient’s condition changes at any time.
• 5. Transfers images to other locations as needed.
• 6. Coordinates scan protocols with Radiologist.
• 7. Maintains and regularly inspects equipment and immediately reports any quality concerns as well as equipment failures or deficiencies.
• 8. Interfaces with Lead Technologist & Center/Area Manager regarding any and all departmental concerns.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervision responsibilities.

This job operates in an environmentally controlled outpatient clinical environment. Potential exposure to radiation, which is minimized by the use of Personal Protective Equipment. Possible exposure to bodily fluids, communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation and other conditions common to a medical office environment. Often requires work in cool, dimly lighted rooms.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Job Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:

• Two plus years’ experience in Computed Tomography (CT) – preferred
• Two plus years’ experience in X-Ray- preferred
• Ability to educate patients on procedures being performed
• Detail oriented, self-motivated, a problem solver and a team player
• Ability to excel in a very fast-pace team environment
• Ability to continuously “exceed” company and customer expectation

Education/Certifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Technologist program
• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
• Registry in Computed Tomography (CT)
• Registry in Radiography (R)
• Current license from state medical board (if applicable)
• Current CPR certification
