Job summary

Envision Radiology seeks a part-time CT Technologist to join our team in San Francisco. Saturdays 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Position pay range: $35.35 - $45.57 per hour.

The CT Technologist will perform CT examinations, position patients, and generate high-quality cross-sectional images while ensuring patient safety and comfort in a clinical outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Two plus years’ experience in CT required or preferred.
• Educate patients on procedures being performed.
• Detail oriented, self-motivated, a problem solver and a team player.
• Navigate multiple computer screens and browsers quickly and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT examinations and position patients to obtain high-quality images.
• Review patient charts for history, implants, and allergies.
• Submit scans to Radiologist for interpretation.
• Coordinate scan protocols with Radiologist and Lead Technologist.
• Maintain and inspect equipment and report deficiencies.
• Transfer images to other locations as needed.

Job description

Envision Imaging seeks a part-time CT Technologist to join the team!
Saturdays 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM | Position Pay Range: $35.35 - $45.57

Summary/Objective

The CT Technologists preformsCT examinations, positions patient, and performs cross-section anatomical scans using proper technical factors and computer programs to provide image and numerical values of tissue density.

Essential Functions

1. Interfaces with patient to ascertain medical history and provides instructions and explanation of the procedure and/or exam to obtain the best possible image.


2. Reviews patient charts for missed clinical information and/or consent. Screens patients for surgical and other implants, contrast allergies, etc.


3. Obtains prior films/exams as needed and performs high quality scans to submit to the Radiologist for interpretation.


4. Performs exams while attending to patient’s care before, during and following exam and notifies the appropriate party if patient’s condition changes at any time.


5. Transfers images to other locations as needed.


6. Coordinates scan protocols with Radiologist.


7. Maintains and regularly inspects equipment and immediately reports any quality concerns as well as equipment failures or deficiencies.


8. Interfaces with Lead Technologist & Center/Area Manager regarding any and all departmental concerns.


9. Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervision responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in an environmentally controlled outpatient clinical environment. Potential exposure to radiation, which is minimized by the use of Personal Protective Equipment. Possible exposure to bodily fluids, communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation and other conditions common to a medical office environment. Often requires work in cool, dimly lighted rooms.

Job Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:

• Two plus years’ experience in Computed Tomography (CT) – preferred


• Ability to educate patients on procedures being performed


• Detail oriented, self-motivated, a problem solver and a team player


• Ability to navigate multiple computer screens and browsers quickly and accurately


• Ability to excel in a very fast-pace team environment


• Ability to continuously “exceed” company and customer expectation


• Strong communication skills & professional demeanor

Education/Certifications

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Technologist program


• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification


• Registry in Computed Tomography (CT)


• Current license from state medical board (if applicable)


• Current CPR certification
