Job summary

Envision Imaging is seeking a part-time X-Ray Technologist to join our team. The role supports diagnostic imaging in a outpatient setting, primarily evenings Monday through Friday plus rotating Saturdays. The compensation range is $27.29–$35.18 per hour.

The ideal candidate will have ARRT certification, Radiography registry, and current CPR, with strong patient education and teamwork skills. Light shift-based schedule and eligibility for benefits are noted.

Responsibilities

• Interface with patient to ascertain medical history and provide instructions/explanation to obtain best image.
• Review patient charts for missed information and consent; screen for implants/contrast allergies.
• Obtain prior films and perform high quality scans for Radiologist interpretation.
• Perform exams while attending to patient care and notify if condition changes.
• Transfer images to other locations as needed.
• Coordinate scan protocols with Radiologist.
• Maintain and inspect equipment; report quality concerns or failures.
• Interface with Lead Technologist/Center Manager regarding department concerns.

Envision Imaging is looking to add a part-time X-Ray Technologist to our team!
Monday - Friday 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM + rotating Saturdays 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM| Position Pay Range $27.29 - $35.18

Summary/Objective:

Performs various types of diagnostic X-Ray procedures, adjusts X-Ray equipment settings, determines proper voltage and exposure and positions patient. Performs specific procedures utilizing ionizing radiation. Assists physicians in assigned examination utilizing contrast media and/or specific tomographic examinations.

Essential Functions

1. Interfaces with patient to ascertain medical history and provides instructions and explanation of the procedure and/or exam to obtain the best possible image.
2. Reviews patient charts for missed clinical information and/or consent. Screens patients for surgical and other implants, contrast allergies, etc.
3. Obtains prior films/exams as needed and performs high quality scans to submit to the Radiologist for interpretation.
4. Performs exams while attending to patient’s care before, during and following exam and notifies the appropriate party if patient’s condition changes at any time.
5. Transfers images to other locations as needed.
6. Coordinates scan protocols with Radiologist.
7. Maintains and regularly inspects equipment and immediately reports any quality concerns as well as equipment failures or deficiencies.
8. Interfaces with Lead Technologist & Center/Area Manager regarding any and all departmental concerns.
9. Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervision responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in an environmentally controlled outpatient clinical environment. Potential exposure to radiation, which is minimized by the use of Personal Protective Equipment. Possible exposure to bodily fluids, communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation and other conditions common to a medical office environment. Often requires work in cool, dimly lighted rooms.

Job Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:

Education/Certifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Technologist program
• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
• Registry in Radiography (R)
• Current license from state medical board (if applicable)
• Current CPR certification
