Job summary

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center in Bradenton, FL is seeking a PRN CT/X-Ray Tech (Multi-Modality) to perform routine radiographs and minimally invasive procedures under a radiologist's supervision.

Under general supervision, you will apply ionizing radiation to obtain diagnostic images, follow ACR guidelines, and ensure patient safety. Florida license and ARRT certification with CPR/BLS are required; acute care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• AMA approved Radiologic Technology program completed.
• ARRT registration preferred; Florida license mandatory.

Job Overview:

Under the direction of a radiologist, performs routine radiographs and minimally invasive procedures at a technical level, not requiring constant supervision. Performs a variety of technical procedures that requires independent judgment and ingenuity to apply prescribed ionizing radiation in order to obtain a radiologic diagnosis.

General Responsibilities:

• Performs routine radiographs and minimally invasive procedures.
• Follow the principles and guidelines as set forth by the American College of Radiology.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Satisfactory completion of formal radiological training in an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• Acute care experience preferred, although new graduates will be considered.
• Preferably registered by and in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• State License through the Florida Bureau of Radiation Control is mandatory.
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR/BLS certification required.
• Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills and customer service skills required.
