Job summary

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center is seeking a CT Technologist to work nights with call. Under radiologist supervision you will perform routine radiographs and minimally invasive procedures, applying ionizing radiation to obtain diagnostic images.

Requires AMA-approved radiologic technology training, ARRT certification, and Florida licensure. Two+ years of experience is preferred; sign-on bonus possible for eligible surgical, echo, and radiology technologists.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Completion of AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT certification and Florida license required.
• CPR/BLS certification current and active.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; patient-facing.
• Acute care experience preferred; new graduates welcome.

Job Overview

Under the direction of a radiologist, performs routine radiographs and minimally invasive procedures at a technical level, not requiring constant supervision. Performs a variety of technical procedures that requires independent judgment and ingenuity to apply prescribed ionizing radiation in order to obtain a radiologic diagnosis.

General Responsibilities

• Performs routine radiographs and minimally invasive procedures.
• Follow the principles and guidelines as set forth by the American College of Radiology.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Satisfactory completion of formal radiological training in an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• Acute care experience preferred, although new graduates will be considered.
• Preferably registered by and in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• State License through the Florida Bureau of Radiation Control is mandatory.
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR/BLS certification required.
• Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills and customer service skills required.
