Job summary

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center seeks a CT/X-Ray Tech (Multi-Modality) to support radiology services in a PRN capacity. You will perform routine radiographs and minimally invasive procedures under radiologist direction, applying ionizing radiation to obtain diagnostic images.

Requirements include AMA-approved radiologic training, Florida license, ARRT certification, and CPR/BLS. Acute care experience is preferred, with a willingness to work varied schedules in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Satisfactory completion of AMA approved Radiologic Technology program.
• Acute care experience preferred but new grads considered.
• ARRT certification in good standing preferred.
• Florida License through the FL Bureau of Radiation Control mandatory.
• CPR/BLS certification required.

Job Overview:

Under the direction of a radiologist, performs routine radiographs and minimally invasive procedures at a technical level, not requiring constant supervision. Performs a variety of technical procedures that requires independent judgment and ingenuity to apply prescribed ionizing radiation in order to obtain a radiologic diagnosis.

General Responsibilities:

• Performs routine radiographs and minimally invasive procedures.
• Follow the principles and guidelines as set forth by the American College of Radiology.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Satisfactory completion of formal radiological training in an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• Acute care experience preferred, although new graduates will be considered.
• Preferably registered by and in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technicians (ARRT)
• State License through the Florida Bureau of Radiation Control is mandatory.
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR/BLS certification required.
• Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills and customer service skills required.
