Job summary

Summit Health Management seeks a Radiology Technician for Bend, OR. The role requires performing CT and X-Ray exams, ensuring accurate imaging and patient safety while coordinating with Radiologists and clinical staff.

Essential requirements include graduation from an accredited Radiology program, ARRT registration, CT state licensure, and BLS. IV certification is preferred. This on-site position offers opportunities within VillageMD networks and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years' experience required.
• Graduated from an accredited Radiology program.
• Licensed by CT State DEP.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologies (ARRT).
• BLS certification is required.
• IV certified preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs CT and X-Ray examinations following departmental protocols and radiologist instructions.
• Produces quality diagnostic images for interpretation.
• Obtains patient history and relevant information; communicates with the Radiologist.
• Operates CT, X-Ray and imaging equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintains room cleanliness and adheres to infection control standards.
• Prioritizes and organizes work assignments; prepares patients for procedures.

Adheres to infection control standards specific to patient care.Prioritizes and organizes work assignments and adjusts priorities based on changing situations.Prepares patient for procedures providing instructions to obtain desired results, gain cooperation, and minimize anxiety.Operates CT, X-Ray and medical imaging equipment properly and safely.Experience with Power injectors preferred.Demonstrates awareness of Radiation Safety procedures for self and others.Prepares and assists in the administration of contrast materials.General Job functions:Demonstrates knowledge and compliance of safety, OSHA, and HIPPA regulations.The ability to perform daily, monthly, semi-annual, and annual Quality Control.The ability to use problem solving, critical thinking and priority setting skills.Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required.Attend department meetings.Other job duties as required.Education, Certification, Computer and Training Requirements: 1-3 years' experience required. Graduated from an accredited Radiology program. Licensed by CT State DEP. Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologies (ARRT) BLS certification is required. IV certified preferred.Maintain current knowledge of RIS and PACS computer systems. The ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is required.
