Job summary

Yoakum Community Hospital is seeking a Radiologic & CT Technologist to perform diagnostic X-ray and CT exams with a focus on patient safety and quality. The role spans multiple departments, with scheduling that may include nights, weekends, and holidays.

The position requires an MRT license in Texas, ARRT certification or eligibility, CPR, and 6–12 months of relevant experience, with CT experience preferred. Join a community-focused hospital committed to excellence.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Radiologic Technology or graduate of an accredited program.
• Texas MRT license required to practice.
• ARRT registration or eligibility.
• CPR certification current.
• 6–12 months related experience; CT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform X-ray and CT exams according to established protocols.
• Explain procedures to patients and monitor comfort; administer contrast as directed.
• Apply ALARA techniques; ensure pediatric dose is appropriate; comply with regs.
• Manage orders in RIS/PACS; verify patient data; use DICOM to deliver images.
• Collaborate with ED, Surgery, ICU and inpatient teams.
• Conduct CT warm-ups, QA, document contrast incubator temps, secure cabinets.

Education

Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology OR graduate of accredited school of radiation sciences

Texas MRT license

ARRT certification or eligible

CPR certification

6 months to 1 year related experience; CT experience preferred
