Job summary

United Surgical Partners International is seeking a qualified Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic exams and assist with OR procedures, including portables and C-arms. The role includes Fluoro-guided procedures and later CT coverage in the evenings.

Responsibilities include safe operation of X-ray equipment per ALARA, room prep with supplies and contrast, relaying patient history to the Radiologist, and ensuring quality imaging services for the department.

Qualifications

• ARRT registration in X-ray is required.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Willing to participate in the Departmental Call Rotation and work holidays and other shifts as needed.

• Safely operate all X-ray equipment following manufacturer guidelines and ALARA.

Job description

Performing quality diagnostic exams, performs OR procedures including portables and C-arms, assists with Fluoro-guided procedures as needed in the department, and covers CT exams later in the evening. Performs patient exams on time. Safely operates ALL X-ray equipment following manufacturer's guidelines and ALARA. Prepares the patient's room with needed supplies and medications/contrast. Provides history and communicates with the Radiologist regarding protocol changes. Provides essential Imaging services for the department. Practices Image Gently and Image Wisely on ALL exams.

Qualifications:

• ARRT Registered in X-ray
• Preferred (5) years in OR/diagnostic and (1) year of experience in CT
• Licensed by the Texas Department of Health as a Medical Radiologic Technologist - General License
• Current BLS Certification
• Willing to participate in the Departmental Call Rotation
• Must be available to work holidays and other shifts as needed
