Job summary

BARNES-JEWISH HOSPITAL, part of BJC HealthCare, is seeking a CT Technologist for the South County CAM outpatient facility in St. Louis. The role is full-time, with day shifts (9:30am-6pm) and one Saturday per month (7am-3:30pm).

Eligible candidates may receive a $5,000 sign-on bonus. Requirements include an associate degree or higher in a related field and RT(R) registration; CT experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in related field.
• Registered Technologist in Radiography - RT(R) (ARRT) preferred.
• 1 year CT experience preferred.
• Certification in CT radiology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient and equipment for procedures.
• Performs CT studies independently, including on-call and portable exams as required.

Barnes-Jewish Hospital

at Washington University Medical Center is the largest hospital in Missouri and is ranked as one of the nation's top hospitals by U.S. News & World Report. Barnes-Jewish Hospital's staff is composed of full-time academic faculty and community physicians of Washington University School of Medicine, supported by a house staff of residents, interns, fellows and other medical professionals. Recognizing its excellence in nursing care, Barnes-Jewish Hospital was the first adult hospital in Missouri to be certified as a Magnet Hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.The Center for Advanced Medicine - South County is a new outpatient facility, jointly owned by Washington University School of Medicine and Barnes-Jewish Hospital, that is under construction in South St. Louis County. The building, scheduled to open in late spring 2016, is located near the Siteman Cancer Center at I-55 and Butler Hill Rd. This new, two-story, approximately 84,500 square foot outpatient facility will include outpatient surgery, imaging, lab, therapy, and Washington University physician subspecialty offices including the Departments of Orthopaedic Surgery, Internal Medicine, Ophthalmology, Surgery, and OB/GYN. ; ; The surgery suite includes two operating rooms and two minor procedure rooms. Imaging services will include plain film, CT, MRI, and screening mammography.

Preferred Qualifications

Role PurposePerforms diagnostic imaging procedures in at least one advanced imaging modality (defined as Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Interventional, Mammography, Bone Density, Cardiac Catheterization) on adults and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of

diagnosis and/or treatment, and quality control.

ResponsibilitiesPrepares patient and equipment for procedures.Performs studies independently, in on-call situations, portable exams, and other site as required by work area.
