OVERVIEW

Join our team as a CT Technologist and play an important role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging and compassionate patient care while operating advanced CT technology. You’ll collaborate closely with radiologists and healthcare teams, support students and fellow partners, and have the opportunity to grow your skills in a fast-paced environment while making a meaningful difference in patients’ care.

SCHEDULE: Weekender SHIFT: 8:00 AM–8:30 PM

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform diagnostic Computed Tomography procedures and techniques.
• Prepare and administer contrast media as appropriate to procedures performed.
• Review patients’ clinical history ensuring that appropriate scan is ordered, and labs are within range- reviewing with radiologist and/or provider as necessary.
• Provide patient education.
• Provide practical instruction for students and partners.
• Initiate basic life support action when necessary.
• Start and maintain intravenous access, may include power injectable implanted ports and specialized lines.
• Apply principles of patient safety during all aspects of procedures, including assisting and transporting patients.
• Operate CT scanner and power injector to produce cross section images of patient anatomy for diagnostic purposes.
• Administer contrast media orally and intravenous maintaining aseptic technique.
• Document all information pertinent to CT procedure in electronic medical record to include medication reconciliation.
• Ensure patients receive discharge information regarding exam to include patient letter and information.
• Flex to various shifts needed to support the department, may be required to flex up hours as needed to include weekends holidays and call.
• Assist radiologist with interventional procedures as needed.
• Report and document CT safety incidents/ adverse events per protocol.
• Assist with medical record/image sharing as necessary. Follow ALARA principles through accurate scan techniques and parameters. Utilize associated workstation to produce post process imaging and 3D reconstructions as required per protocol. Adjust scan protocols/parameters as necessary for individual patient need. Use radiology information systems (including PACS), complete all required records and reports, submit images and data for physician review and interpretation.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• Graduate of an accredited radiography program.
• Minimum One (1) to Three (3) years of experience as a CT technologist preferred. Will consider trainees and new graduates.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE

• ARRT Radiography registration required.
• ARRT Computed Tomography registration required within 2 years of hire.
• IEMA-DNS radiography accreditation required if working in Illinois.
• WI-DSPS radiographer license required if working in Wisconsin.
• Approved CPR or BLS certification within 90 days.

$33.78 - $50.67
