Job summary

Northshore Home Health Care is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specialized in CT imaging. The role involves operating CT scanners, evaluating exposure factors, and ensuring high-quality diagnostic images while maintaining safety standards.

The position requires ARRT registration in Radiography, AMA-approved Radiologic Technology training, and CPR certification. Experience with PACS/HIS-RIS systems and power injectors is preferred in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Qualifications

Job description

Role Overview:

This position involves performing radiographic procedures independently, with a focus on CT imaging, requiring technical expertise and judgment. The role includes managing designated areas or procedures, ensuring quality and safety in diagnostic imaging.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT scanners, power injectors, and related equipment proficiently.
• Evaluate and select appropriate exposure factors; assess image quality.
• Manipulate equipment, transport patients, and adapt to emergent situations.
• Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Perform related duties as assigned by the Cat Scan Manager.

Qualifications & Skills

• Completion of AMA-approved Radiologic Technology training and ARRT registration in Radiography.
• Preferably one year of CT experience.
• Must hold an American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR card or complete training within probation.
• Technical skills in medical scanning, cross-sectional anatomy, computer systems (PACS, HIS/RIS), and power injectors.
• Physical ability to lift, move patients, stand, walk, and handle stressful situations effectively.
