The CT Technologist performs computed axial tomography procedures using various imaging equipment and contrast materials. They prepare and administer contrast per department policies, review patient history, and ensure safety protocols, including pregnancy screening and adverse reaction management.
Responsibilities include acquiring and processing patient exams independently, performing multiplanar reformats and 3D images, and collaborating with radiologists. They review orders for accuracy, critique imaging quality, and transfer images in PACS for interpretation.
Qualifications require an Associate’s Degree or certification in Radiologic Technology, with licensure as a Radiologic Technologist and ARRT registration in Radiography and CT, or equivalent certifications. A minimum of one year of radiology experience is necessary. Strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to perform multiple tasks while maintaining patient safety are essential.
