Qualifications

  • Graduate from Specialty Training Program (required).
  • Technical expertise operating multiple CT systems and advanced imaging procedures.
  • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, physics and pharmacology related to CT imaging.
  • Ability to interpret technical factors to enhance scan quality and efficiency.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols, dose management and patient care for various ages.
  • Experience with interventional procedures and advanced CTA imaging preferred.

Job description

Role Overview:

Performs CT procedures to acquire digital images for diagnostic and treatment purposes under the supervision of a Radiologist. Responsible for planning and executing all CT protocols using advanced technology, ensuring patient safety, proper positioning, and image quality. Maintains knowledge of various CT systems, clinical histories, organ systems, and vascular procedures, including CTA imaging and interventional procedures. Operates CT scanners, power injectors, and computing systems, adhering to safety guidelines and dose management protocols that monitor radiation exposure levels. Ensures compliance with established protocols based on clinical criteria, anatomy, and guidelines such as Image Gently. Communicates effectively with patients, ensures proper preparation, and performs post-processing of images. Demonstrates proficiency in physics and pharmacology relevant to CT imaging, optimizing image quality and patient safety.
