Job summary

MEP Health is seeking a CT Technologist to perform high-quality CT imaging while ensuring patient safety and comfort. The role involves operating imaging equipment independently, adhering to ALARA and infection control standards, and supporting department workflow.

The ideal candidate brings ARRT-R/CT credentials, 1+ year radiology experience, and BLS certification. This is a full-time on-site position with competitive pay and opportunities for career advancement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• ACCR Radiologic Technology program completed.
• At least 1 year radiology experience.
• ARRT-R and ARRT-CT certifications.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Obtain clinical history and explain procedures using AIDET.
• Position patients correctly and administer contrast when needed.
• Review images for diagnostic quality.
• Document studies accurately in RIS/PACS systems.
• Respond to patient needs and monitor conditions.

Job description

The CT Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality CT imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and accurate diagnostics. They operate imaging equipment independently, adhering to safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure (ALARA), and maintain equipment and rooms per infection control standards.

Responsibilities

• Responsibilities include obtaining clinical history, explaining procedures using AIDET, positioning patients correctly, administering contrast when needed, reviewing images for diagnostic quality, and documenting studies accurately in RIS/PACS systems. They must respond to patient needs, monitor conditions, and support department workflow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, at least 1 year of radiology experience, ARRT-R and ARRT-CT certifications, and BLS certification.
