Qualifications

• ARRT (R) CT certification required
• BLS within 60 days required
• Licensure in state of practice Upon Hire, Required
• IV competency within 90 days required
• Fluoroscopy certification preferred in CO
• 1-2 years CT hospital experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintain ARRT competency in all clinical and technical functions
• Operate CT equipment and related information systems to produce quality images
• Ensure proper patient identification and prepares the patient for the exam
• Perform exams per department protocol
• Review and evaluate images for quality and accuracy
• Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain safety for patients and staff
• Complete studies within time limitations without compromising care
• Provide patient education and address concerns
• Coordinate patient care and communicate with care providers
• Stay updated with CT technology and protocols via continuing education
• Instruct students and other technologists on protocols and equipment
