Job summary

Northwell Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to operate CT and radiology equipment, prepare patients for exams, and ensure high-quality imaging with proper labeling and documentation.

The role requires graduation from an approved Radiologic Technology program, NY/CT licensure, ARRT registration, and at least 1 year of radiologic experience. Adherence to safety standards and accurate data entry are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program.
• New York State and/or Connecticut Department of Health licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
• ARRT registration.
• Minimum of one year experience performing radiologic exams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient for exam and ease anxiety by translating exam into lay terms as appropriate.
• Perform radiologic exams according to standards and SOPs, position patient and adjust immobilization and devices.
• Adjust x-ray equipment, obtain correct exposure and monitor patient condition per safety standards.
• Enter patient history and exam data, and maintain required records and daily logs.
• Label images accurately and ensure proper side identification and dating on films.
