Job summary

MetroHealth's Radiology CT Technologist is responsible for producing high-quality CT scans across diverse clinical settings within the MetroHealth system. The role includes assisting with CT-guided procedures, coordinating patient scheduling, and educating patients to ensure comfort and understanding of procedures.

The ideal candidate will have ARRT certification, Ohio radiographer license, and BLS, with strong anatomy knowledge and excellent communication under pressure.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
• Registered Radiology Technologist with ARRT (ARRT).
• ARRT CT credential or obtains within one year of employment.
• Valid Ohio Radiographer License (ODH).
• American Heart Association BLS Certification or obtains within probationary period.
• One year related experience and ARRT CT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produces quality CT images in a variety of settings.
• Assists with CT guided procedures including biopsies, drain placements, and tumor ablations.
• Patient scheduling and coordination for inpatients and outpatients.
• Educates patients regarding procedures, equipment, and examinations to maintain understanding and comfort.
• Exhibits on-the-spot critical thinking and effective communication.
• Functions well under stress and both independently and in CT team.
