Job summary

Qualifications

• Two year AMA accredited School of Radiologic Technology
• Registered by the ARRT or registry eligible; licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Radiation Control Program
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• CT certification within 12 months of employment if not already certified
• Proficiency in cross sectional anatomy and CT equipment; ability to achieve competency within 18 months
• Experience in a trauma setting (1 year) and RIS/PACS preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform CT exams with accuracy for ER, inpatient, and outpatient populations
• Document patient information and history to guide exams and contrast administration
• Maintain 100% accuracy in RIS with patient demographics and accession numbers
• QC exams using PACS and evaluate images for diagnostic quality
• Follow ALARA principles and department protocols; support a team approach to patient care
• Assist with transporting, orientation of staff, and training of students as needed
