Job summary

RadNet is seeking a CT Technologist Trainee to join a dedicated team delivering quality, value, and access in imaging. You will learn CT imaging under supervision, assist with patient preparation, positioning, and safety procedures, and support radiology staff in image processing.

The role requires ARRT certification/State license within policy, completion of an accredited Radiology program, and strong communication.

Qualifications

  • Must have current ARRT(R) and State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology (CRT).
  • Must obtain ARRT (CT) certification and/or applicable State CT license within RadNet policy timeframe.
  • Completion of an accredited Radiology program required.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
  • Venipuncture certification preferred; if not held, must obtain within required timeframe.
  • Ability to learn and apply specialized CT equipment operation.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with preparing patients for CT exams and explains procedures.
  • Learns proper positioning techniques, immobilization methods, and safety procedures for CT imaging under supervision.
  • Observes and assists with administering contrast media under supervision.
  • Supports technologists with image processing, PACS transmission, and quality assurance checks.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality and adheres to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Participates in educational activities and on-the-job instruction to gain competency in CT imaging.
  • Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and prepared for patient procedures.
  • Provides professional and compassionate care to patients throughout the imaging process.
  • Completes administrative tasks, paperwork, and data entry as assigned.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned while learning the full scope of the CT Technologist role.
