Job summary

RadNet is seeking a CT Technologist Trainee to join a dedicated team delivering quality imaging and compassionate patient care. You will learn CT operations, assist with exams, and support technologists in image processing and safety procedures.

The role requires ARRT certification in radiologic technology, state licensure, and enrollment in CT certification within RadNet timelines. A structured trainee program offers growth, HIPAA compliance, and direct supervision.

Qualifications

• Must have current ARRT(R) and State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology (CRT).
• Must obtain ARRT (CT) certification and/or applicable State CT license within RadNet policy timeframe.
• Completion of an accredited Radiology program required.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• Venipuncture certification preferred; if not held, must obtain within timeframe.
• Ability to learn and apply specialized CT equipment operation.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients and team members.
• Detail-oriented, highly organized and committed to professional development.

Responsibilities

• Assists with preparing patients for CT exams and explains procedures in a courteous and professional manner.
• Learns proper positioning techniques, immobilization methods, and safety procedures for CT imaging under supervision.
• Observes and assists with administering contrast media (only after venipuncture certification and under direct supervision).
• Supports technologists with image processing, PACS transmission, and quality assurance checks.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and adheres to HIPAA guidelines.
• Participates in educational activities, in-service training, and on-the-job instruction to gain competency in CT imaging.
• Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and prepared for patient procedures.
• Provides professional and compassionate care to patients throughout the imaging process.
• Completes administrative tasks, paperwork, and data entry as assigned.
• Performs other related duties as assigned while learning the full scope of the CT Technologist role.
