Job summary

RadNet is hiring a CT Technologist Trainee in Houston, TX. You will join a team delivering quality imaging services and patient care with robust training in CT techniques and safety protocols.

You will learn positioning, contrast administration under supervision, PACS workflows, and HIPAA-compliant procedures while progressing toward CT certification and full technologist responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Must hold ARRT(R) and State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology.
• Must obtain ARRT (CT) certification within RadNet policy timeframe.
• Completion of an accredited Radiology program required.
• BLS certification required.
• Venipuncture certification preferred; if not held, must obtain within the required timeframe.
• Ability to learn and operate CT equipment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; patient-focused.
• Detail-oriented, well organized, and committed to development.

Responsibilities

• Assists with preparing patients for CT exams and explains procedures.
• Learns positioning techniques, immobilization methods, and safety procedures for CT imaging under supervision.
• Observes and assists with administering contrast media under supervision.
• Supports technologists with image processing, PACS transmission, and QA checks.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and adheres to HIPAA guidelines.
• Participates in training to gain CT competency and on-the-job instruction.
• Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and prepared for procedures.
• Delivers professional and compassionate care to patients throughout imaging.
• Completes administrative tasks and data entry as assigned.
• Performs other related duties while learning the full CT Technologist scope.
