Wellstar Vinings Health Park in Smyrna, Georgia is seeking a FT Outpatient Registered CT Technologist. You’ll join a collaborative care team and be a valued clinical professional dedicated to diagnostic imaging excellence.

Perform CT procedures with attention to dose, accuracy, and patient comfort; manage contrast and safety, while ensuring meticulous RIS/PACS documentation and workflow efficiency.

Formación

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent completed.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Experience: minimum 1 year of Radiology experience required.
• Certifications: ARRT-R Radiography; ARRT-CT Computed Tomography; BLS from American Heart Association.

Responsabilidades

• Perform CT procedures per department guidelines and obtain quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment independently and maintain ALARA dose levels.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms and equipment; report equipment issues.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders, and identify patients before exams.
• Explain procedures and prep to patients using AIDET; reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy and safety throughout visits.
• Administer contrast per protocol and use sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients, apply markers and shielding as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and retake if needed.
• Document accurately in RIS/PACS and manage transfers/returns as required.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies; restock and organize supplies.
• Support department operations, follow regulations, and escalate issues as needed.

Required Qualifications

• EducationHigh School Diploma or equivalent

• ExperienceMinimum 1 year experience in Radiology Required

• BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association

Core Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines, use your technical knowledge to capture quality diagnostic images
• Work independently operating imaging and radiographic equipment safely and adjusting techniques to maintain diagnostic quality at the lowest reasonable dose (ALARA)
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms and equipment per infection control schedules; identify and report equipment issues promptly
• Obtain clinical history and screen for contraindications; verify orders and two unique patient identifiers before any exam
• Explain procedures, prep, and post-care clearly using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care throughout the visit
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol, using venipuncture and sterile technique when applicable
• Position patients correctly and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability; repeat or correct as needed and release patients appropriately
• Complete accurate, timely documentation and ensure studies are correctly finalized in RIS and PACS, including transfers, retrieval, CDs, and prior exam retrieval as needed
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and help maintain and restock crash cart and life-support equipment as required
• Organize daily workflows to meet expected timeframes; collaborate with technologists and modalities to support department flow
• Support operations and compliance, keep areas orderly and stocked, transport patients safely, complete charging and clerical tasks, follow regulatory requirements, and elevate issues to the supervisor
