Wellstar Vinings Health Park in Smyrna, Georgia is seeking a FT Outpatient Registered CT Technologist. The role involves performing CT procedures, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and ensuring diagnostic-quality images while keeping patient safety and comfort a priority.

Qualified candidates will have ARRT-R and ARRT-CT certifications, at least 1 year radiology experience, and BLS. The position offers a sign-on bonus eligibility, relocation assistance, and a comprehensive benefits

Competenze

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) certification.
• ARRT-CT certification.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.

Mansioni

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and optimize image quality.
• Operate imaging equipment safely while maintaining ALARA (as low as reasonably achievable) doses.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms and equipment; report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history and verify orders with two patient identifiers.
• Explain procedures and prep using AIDET; address patient questions and reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care.
• Administer contrast per protocol with venipuncture and sterile technique when needed.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and repeat if necessary; finalize studies in RIS/PACS.

Required Qualifications

Core Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines, use your technical knowledge to capture quality diagnostic images
• Work independently operating imaging and radiographic equipment safely and adjusting techniques to maintain diagnostic quality at the lowest reasonable dose (ALARA)
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms and equipment per infection control schedules; identify and report equipment issues promptly
• Obtain clinical history and screen for contraindications; verify orders and two unique patient identifiers before any exam
• Explain procedures, prep, and post-care clearly using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care throughout the visit
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol, using venipuncture and sterile technique when applicable
• Position patients correctly and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability; repeat or correct as needed and release patients appropriately
• Complete accurate, timely documentation and ensure studies are correctly finalized in RIS and PACS, including transfers, retrieval, CDs, and prior exam retrieval as needed
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and help maintain and restock crash cart and life-support equipment as required
• Organize daily workflows to meet expected timeframes; collaborate with technologists and modalities to support department flow
• Support operations and compliance, keep areas orderly and stocked, transport patients safely, complete charging and clerical tasks, follow regulatory requirements, and elevate issues to the supervisor
