Job summary

Optum NY is seeking a CT Technologist in Bethpage, NY to perform and reformat CT examinations, support interventional procedures, and create a calm environment so patients follow instructions.

You will identify anatomy, operate CT equipment, mentor new hires, and ensure quality and regulatory compliance while delivering compassionate care. ARRT CT certification and at least 2 years' CT experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• ARRT CT certification required.
• Associate or Baccalaureate degree in radiography, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine preferred.
• 2+ years of CT experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Identify anatomical orientation on images and ensure proper file identification.
• Demonstrate competency performing CT procedures and operating related equipment.
• Greet patients, obtain history, and enter data into the system.
• Scan according to guidelines and maintain quality standards.
• Provide instruction to new hires and mentor staff.
• Maintain CPR certification and HIPAA compliance.
