Job summary

Optum NY in Bethpage, NY is seeking a CT Technologist to join our team. This role performs and reformats CT examinations, ensuring patient comfort and clear instructions, and supports quality imaging. You’ll work under OptumCare, with opportunities to mentor new hires and maintain CPR certification.

Position includes a $10,000 sign-on bonus for external candidates and competitive hourly pay. You’ll contribute to efficient outpatient operations and uphold high standards of imaging and patient

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and ARRT CT certification.
• Preferred: associate or baccalaureate degree in radiography, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine.
• 2+ years CT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify anatomical orientation on all required images and assure proper file identification.
• Demonstrate competency performing all computerized tomography procedures and operate related equipment.
• Greet patients, obtain history, and enter information in the computer system.
• Scan according to guidelines and monitor patient vital signs during examination.
• Maintain CPR certification and ensure compliance with standards of care and HIPAA.
• Review examinations for technical quality and present to radiologist; communicate data to care teams.
