Job summary

Requires ARRT registration, KY operator certification, and BLS; CT certification preferred at hire or within 1 year of employment. Primary location is Jewish Hospital - UMC in Louisville.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a JRC approved program in Radiologic Technology.
• Registered with ARRT.
• KY Radiation Operators certification.
• BLS certification required.
• CT Certification preferred at time of hire but required within 1 year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Performs CT scans according to established protocols.
• Maintains radiation safety practices during examinations.
• Prepares for and assists radiologist with CT procedures.
• Prepares and administers contrast media per policy.
• Instructs and mentors Radiologic Technology students.
• Ensures examinations are logged in the computer system.
• Maintains clean, organized work areas.
