Job summary

HCA Houston ER 24/7 - Heights is seeking a CT Technologist to perform Computerized Tomography exams with precision in a high-volume ER setting.

The role requires an RT Radiologic Technologist credential, ARRT-CT certification, and an Associate or Bachelor's degree, with ongoing continuing education to maintain licensure. This position offers comprehensive hospital benefits and opportunities for growth within HCA Healthcare.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs CT exams at a technical level with minimal supervision.
• Contributes to quality patient care and department efficiency.
• Position patients and explain CT procedures to patients.
• Maintain licensing CE requirements and department protocols.
• Support radiology department tasks as needed.

Job Summary and Qualifications

To perform Computerized Tomography exams at a technical level, which does not require constant supervision, and to assure the responsibility for designated areas, or procedures as required. To assure that the highest degree of quality performance and patient care is delivered to all patients according to their physical needs and limitations. To work within a team-oriented concept, in a fast paced highly productive department. Helps in other areas of the Radiology department when needed.

What you will do in this role:

• \"Demonstrates competence in all areas of Cat Scan and supervision: positioning, physiology, procedure preparation, technical factors,
• and management of the department.\"
• Ensures that there is an adequate supply of materials available.
• Cleans, sterilizes and or disinfects areas and/or equipment.
• Responsible for proper use of Radiology Information System.
• Shall be actively involved in the TQM process and present creative solutions to processes.
• Position patients for each anatomical view using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary. Explains CT procedures to patients.
• Maintains necessary continuing education requirements for license.
• Other tasks as assigned.
