Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Desoto, TX, seeks a CT Technologist/Radiologic Tech to perform diagnostic CT imaging with patient-centered care. You will position patients, operate CT equipment, and administer contrast under physician guidance in a Per Diem / PRN role.

The ideal candidate has ARRT or CMRT, BLS, and at least 2 years as a Radiologic Technologist, plus 1 year CT experience. Join a team focused on high-quality imaging and patient safety.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years experience as a Registered Radiologic Technologist and current state license.
  • At least 1 year experience as a CT Technologist (not including school).
  • Must have ARRT or CMRT certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and active continuing education.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare the patient for diagnostic procedures by explaining the process and creating a comfortable environment.
  • Use proper patient positioning and technical factors to produce quality diagnostic studies.
  • Correctly operate a CT scanner to produce cross-sectional images of the targeted anatomy.
  • Administer contrast media as directed by the referring physician.
  • Monitor patients for adverse drug events and report accordingly.
  • Perform routine quality assurance on CT equipment and identify basic malfunctions.
  • Perform clerical duties as needed, such as answering phones.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Must be current with Continuing Education in all fields of licensure.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience operating facility-specific equipment desirable.
