Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital – Orlando Central in Orlando, FL is seeking a CT Technologist for a Per Diem/PRN role. You will prepare patients, position them for CT imaging, and operate the scanner to produce diagnostic cross‑sectional images.

Administer contrast as directed and monitor for adverse events while maintaining QA on the equipment. The role requires 2+ years as a Radiologic Technologist with CT experience, ARRT or CMRT certification, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Registered Radiologic Technologist with state license as required.
• At least 1 year of CT Technologist experience beyond schooling.
• ARRT or CMRT certification.
• BLS certification current and CE ongoing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and explain CT procedures to ensure comfort and cooperation.
• Operate CT scanner to acquire cross‑sectional images as ordered.
• Administer contrast media per physician instructions; monitor for adverse reactions.
• Perform routine QA on equipment and assist with clerical tasks as needed.

• Administer contrast media as directed by referring physician.
• Monitor the patient for any adverse drug events and report accordingly.
• Perform routine quality assurance on equipment and identify basic malfunctions.
• Perform clerical duties, as needed, such as answering phones.

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience as a Registered Radiologic Technologist and hold current state license (as required).
• At least 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist (not including school).
• Must have ARRT or CMRT certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Must be current with Continuing Education in all fields of licensure.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating facility‑specific equipment desirable.
