Job summary

GI Alliance is seeking an experienced CT Technologist PT to perform a variety of imaging procedures, specializing in diagnostic CT imaging. The technologist will work to ensure patient safety and comfort while delivering high-quality imaging data.

Responsibilities include operating CT equipment, adhering to radiation safety standards, and documenting procedures for accurate patient records. Collaboration with nurses and physicians is essential to provide excellent patient care in a fast-paced

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited radiologic technologist program.
  • CT Certification required; CPR preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year imaging experience; GI or internal medicine practice preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately perform CT scans ordered by physician.
  • Work independently while providing effective patient care.
  • Completes routine and specialized diagnostic imaging procedures including X-ray and CT.
  • Practice proper radiation safety techniques on all exams performed.
  • Chart and log completed imaging data and complete associated paperwork.
  • Provide supportive patient care to assist nurses and physicians.
  • Maintain patient care areas with appropriate supplies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

GI Alliance is seeking an experienced CT Technologist PT.

Position Purpose

The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of imaging procedures, specializing in diagnostic medical CT imaging.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately perform CT scans ordered by physician and advanced level providers.
  • Work independently while providing effective patient care.
  • Completes a variety of routine and specialized diagnostic imaging procedures to include X-ray and CT of moderate to high complexity.
  • Practices proper radiation safety techniques on all exams performed
  • Chart and log completed ultrasound as required or necessary as well as complete associated paperwork.
  • Provide supportive patient care to assist the nurses and physicians in meeting the needs of individual patients throughout assigned areas
  • Provide care appropriate to condition and age of the patient, including neonate, pediatric, adolescent, geriatric and general population
  • Responsible for the care and safety of patients undergoing treatment and use of equipment to minimize hazards to patients.
  • Maintain the Imaging room in efficient and sanitary method as required by law. Immediately report any equipment failure or malfunction to physician, or office manager
  • Perform all quality control checks, as prescribed
  • Understand and practice proper use of all equipment; never operates equipment inconsistent with manufacturers instruction
  • Collect, report and document data related to patient needs/emergencies and unusual patient and family behavior
  • Maintain patient care areas with appropriate supplies
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Education: Graduate from an accredited radiologic technologist program required.

Experience: One (1) year experience of imaging required. GI or internal medicine office experience preferred.

Additional Qualifications

CT Certification required. Current CPR certification preferred.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient technical (computer) skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Self-motivated with initiative.
  • Strong sense of ethics.
