Job summary

IHA in Livonia, MI is seeking a CT Technologist to join our imaging team on the night shift. This full-time role requires performing high-quality CT imaging under Radiologist supervision, ensuring adherence to ALARA principles and established protocols.

Candidates with ARRT registration, CT certification, and an AMA/JRCERT accredited program will stand out; a 2+ year radiologic technologist background is preferred, with experience on Toshiba 64-slice CT systems being a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• AMA or JRCERT-accredited radiologic technology program.
• ARRT registration with active status; CT certification preferred.
• CT Advanced Certification must be obtained within one year of hire.
• BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification required.
• Minimum two years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist; CT experience preferred.
• Experience with Toshiba 64-slice CT systems is a plus.

• Assess patient history, review orders, and determine scan protocols.
• Recognize contraindications for IV and oral contrast.

Job description

10,000 Sign on bonus offered for full-time. CT Technologist – Full-time, 40 hours. Night Shift. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CT Technologist to join our dynamic imaging team. Under the direction of a Radiologist, the CT Technologist will perform high-quality Computed Tomography (CT) imaging to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of various conditions, ensuring that all procedures adhere to established protocols and ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently perform a variety of CT procedures using sound judgment, technical expertise, and attention to patient care.
• Assess patient history, review physician orders, and determine the appropriate scan protocols.
• Recognize contraindications for IV and oral contrast preparations.
• Maintain knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and medical terminology to ensure diagnostic accuracy.
• Operate and troubleshoot CT equipment to resolve basic technical and computer-related issues.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care.
• Assist with patient positioning, transfers, and lifting as needed.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records and comply with all departmental policies and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Training: Successful completion of a formal radiologic technology program accredited by the AMA or JRCERT.
• Certification:
  • Registered and in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Advanced Certification in Computed Tomography (CT) preferred.
  • CT Advanced Certification must be obtained within one year of hire.
  • BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification required.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of two years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • At least one year of experience in CT diagnostic imaging preferred.
  • Experience with Toshiba 64-slice or higher CT systems is a plus.
