HCA Florida Poinciana Hospital in Haines City, FL is seeking a CT Technologist PRN to join our Radiology team. The role performs CT exams per ARRT standards, supports patient care, and ensures accurate protocol adherence.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures in accordance with ARRT standards and department policies.

• Administer contrast material using proper technique.
• Manage patient flow and prioritize exams to ensure efficiency.
• Communicate pertinent information to the interpreting radiologist promptly.
• Maintain a clean and stocked radiology department at all times.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Location: Haines City FSED [36810 US-27, Haines City, FL 33844]

Schedule: Mondays 6:00am - 6:30pm

The CT Technologist is responsible for performing CT exams in accordance with standards and practice set forth by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology and Radiology Department policies and procedures. The CT Tech demonstrates knowledge of human anatomy, disease processes and functions, patient care, positioning, principles of radiographic sciences, radiation protection, quality assurance, specialized techniques, and adheres to all Corporate Radiation Right policies.

Responsibilities of the CT Technologist

• Perform CT - Computed Tomography Procedures in accordance with standards and practice set forth by the American Registry for Radiologic Technology and Radiology Department policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate knowledge of human anatomy, disease processes and functions, patient care, positioning, principles of radiographic sciences, radiation protection and specialized techniques.
• Verify written order matches requisition prior to performing exam.
• Follow appropriate protocol for the exam ordered.
• Administer contrast material using proper technique.
• Manage patient flow to ensure that exams are prioritized appropriately and performed efficiently.
• Communicate pertinent information to interpreting radiologist in a timely manner.
• Maintain a well-cleaned and supplied department at all times.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Florida State Registered Radiologic Technician
• Registered ARRT (R) (CT), required
• Vocational School Graduate
• 1 year of CT Technologist experience, preferred
