Job summary

LewisGale Medical Center in Salem, VA is seeking a PRN CT Technologist to accurately interpret a physician’s scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, and operate CT equipment with precision. You will assist radiologists, prepare examination rooms, monitor supplies, and uphold the highest standards of patient care in a fast-paced imaging department.

Graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology is required; BLS within 30 days and ARRT-CT certification is preferred for

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Preferred ARRT-CT certification.
• CT experience.

Responsibilities

• Interpret physician scanning instructions and operate CT equipment.
• Administer contrast materials and assist radiologists during procedures.
• Prepare examination rooms for CT and invasive procedures.
• Monitor inventory and maintain room cleanliness during shifts.

Job Summary and Qualifications

You will accurately interpret a physician’s scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, prepare and operate the CT scan equipment.

Assist the radiologist in administering medication and contrast agents, performing biopsies and all types of care to patients.

Prepare examination rooms for CT scan and/or invasive procedures.

Monitor inventory of supplies during room rotation and maintain room cleanliness.

Requirements

Required:

Graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology.

Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Preferred:

ARRT-CT certification

CT experience
