Job summary

HUMBLE VASCULAR SURGICAL CENTER INC is seeking a CT Technologist for outpatient imaging. The role requires a graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program and a current RT certification with at least one year of diagnostic radiology experience, plus CPR certification.

You will operate CT equipment, ensure patient safety, and transfer images to PACS. The candidate should explain procedures, position patients correctly, and maintain a calm, professional environment while collaborating

Qualifications

  • Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) with one year of diagnostic radiology experience.
  • Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

  • Review orders and obtain pertinent medical information to identify exam purpose.
  • Explain the procedure to the patient clearly.
  • Position patients appropriately for CT imaging.
  • Perform scans and transfer images to the PACS system.
  • Report equipment issues to the Chief Technologist and follow safety policies.
  • Maintain a calm, professional environment and assist patients and staff.

Job description

As a CT Technologist, you will operate the CT Imaging equipment to produce images of designated portion of the human body for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in an outpatient setting.

Employee will be a graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology as well as a Registered Technologist (RT) with minimum one year experience in diagnostic radiology. Employee will also hold a current certification in in CPR (Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation).

Primary Duties And Responsibilities
  • Review Physician orders and obtain pertinent medical information to identify reason for the exam
  • Thoroughly explain the procedure to the patient
  • Be able to select appropriate position for each patient
  • Organize images, perform the scan, and transfer images to PACS system
  • Report all potential issues with equipment to Chief Technologist
  • Practice proper safety techniques in accordance with departmental policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Provide clear information and education to patient
  • Anticipates and responds promptly to needs and request of patients and/or staff
  • Demonstrates respect and courtesy to others
  • Demonstrates professionalism at all times
  • Able to problem solve
  • Demonstrate emotional support to others
  • Create and maintain a calm environment
License/Certification Required
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) with one (1) year of experience in diagnostic radiology
  • Current CPR (cardio pulmonary resuscitation) certification
