Job summary

Cooper University Health Care in New Jersey is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for CT imaging. You will obtain high-quality diagnostic images, review patient history, and ensure documentation and image integrity within PACS.

Responsibilities include patient education, adherence to safety goals and regulations, and collaboration with the care team to support a patient-centered experience; ARRT certification and NJ license are required, with ongoing professional development encouraged.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or AMA‑approved RT program completed.
  • Current ARRT certification and NJ DEP license requirements.
  • BLS certification within 90 days of hire and ARRT CT certification within 12 months.

  • Performs CT imaging procedures with high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Obtains and reviews patient history, educates patients and families.
  • Ensures documentation and image integrity within PACS.
  • Participates in quality improvement initiatives and collaborates with the care team.

Short Description

Performs CT imaging procedures in accordance with hospital policies, state and federal regulations, and National Patient Safety Goals. Utilizes advanced knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and CT technology to produce high-quality diagnostic images, ensuring accurate documentation and image integrity within PACS. Obtains and reviews patient history, educates patients and families regarding procedures, and provides compassionate care that addresses physical and psychological needs. Participates in quality improvement initiatives, supports multidisciplinary patient care, and promotes exceptional patient service and satisfaction.

Experience Required
  • 0-2 year's required.
  • 3-5 years preferred
Education Requirements

Associate's preferred

Graduate of AMA Approved Radiologic Technologist Program
Must meet all educational requirements necessary to obtain ARRT certification according to your graduation date.

License/Certification Requirements
  • Current BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) within 90 days of hire.
  • Current ARRT Certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists).
  • Current NJDEP Diagnostic Radiology License.
  • ARRT Board Certified in Computed Tomography required within 12 months of hire.
Special Requirements
  • Demonstrates effective communication skills and utilizes the AIDET communication framework.
  • Ability to regularly lift patients.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
