RAYUS Radiology is seeking a PRN/casual CT Technologist to join our Twin Cities team across multiple Minnesota locations. The role offers flexible days, evenings, or weekends with the opportunity to pick up extra hours and PRN differentials.

Responsibilities include patient screening, preparing and performing CT exams, maintaining safety records, and supporting protocol updates. Must have AMA radiography education, ARRT registration, CPR, and state licensure where applicable.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an AMA approved school of radiography.
• ARRT registered technologist in good standing.
• Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
• Current CPR certification.
• Sufficient training and experience to competently perform CT procedures independently.
• Certification in imaging specialty.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT imaging with attention to patient safety and accurate positioning.
• Explain procedures to patients and prepare them for scanning.
• Operate CT equipment and adjust parameters to minimize dose while maintaining image quality.
• Follow physician orders and maintain accurate RIS records.
• Maintain equipment and work area in a safe, clean state and ensure QA compliance.
• Assist with imaging protocol updates and supply management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

The pay range for this position is $30.00-$44.86 based on direct and relevant experience.

We have locations in Blaine, Burnsville, Coon Rapids, Eagan, Eden Prairie, Edina, Lakeville, Maple Grove, Maplewood, Otsego, Plymouth, Roseville, Shakopee, St. Louis Park, St. Paul (Highland Park), and Woodbury. We have dayshift, evenings, or weekends available. We offer flexibility, work-life balance, and growth opportunity. Additionally, we offer shift AND PRN differentials.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(90%) Patient CT Imaging

• 1. Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedure
• 2. Explains and prepares patients for scanning imaging procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately
• 3. Performs routine and advanced scanning imaging procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeats scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure
• 4. Adjusts scanning scan parameters correctly and as needed, utilizing dose reduction techniques as appropriate
• 5. Follows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)
• 6. Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements
• 7. Maintains an orderly and clean work area including equipment promoting good safety habits for patients and co-workers

(5%) CT/Imaging Department Support

• 1. Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades
• 2. Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary
• 3. Assists with training of new team members, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable

(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned

Required:

• 1. High School diploma, or equivalent
• 2. Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
• 3. ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing
• 4. Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
• 5. Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
• 6. Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform CT procedures independently
• 7. Certification in imaging specialty

• 1. Bilingual
