Job summary

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a CT Technologist to join our team in Minnesota. This casual/PRN role supports CT, X-ray, and DEXA across St. Cloud and Sartell centers, with 8-hour shifts 7:00am–5:30pm, Monday–Friday, offering daily pay options.

You will operate CT scanners to produce diagnostic images, provide patient-centered care, comply with safety standards, and maintain accurate records in RIS while supporting department needs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of AMA approved school of radiography.
• ARRT registered technologist in good standing.
• Licensed Radiological Technologist in the applicable state.
• Current CPR certification.
• Ability to perform CT procedures independently.
• Certification in imaging specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patient CT imaging with correct identification using two identifiers.
• Explain and prepare patients for scanning and position for optimal results.
• Perform routine and advanced scanning procedures with minimal supervision.
• Adjust scanning parameters and apply dose reduction techniques as appropriate.
• Follow physician orders, maintain safety and accurate RIS records.
• Maintain ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.
• Keep the work area clean and safe for patients and staff.
• Support imaging department with protocol updates and inventory as needed.
• Assist with training new team members.

The pay range for this position is $30.00-$50.00 based on direct and relevant experience.

RAYUS Radiology is looking for a CT Technologist to join our team. As a Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist, you will be responsible for operating assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide CT services within professional standards and with excellent customer service. This is a casual/PRN position working various 8-hour shifts Monday-Friday from 7:00am-5:30pm, flexible schedule. This role will work in CT, Xray, and Dexa at our St Cloud and Sartell centers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(90%) Patient CT Imaging

1. Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedure


2. Explains and prepares patients for scanning imaging procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately


3. Performs routine and advanced scanning imaging procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeats scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure


4. Adjusts scanning scan parameters correctly and as needed, utilizing dose reduction techniques as appropriate


5. Follows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)


6. Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements


7. Maintains an orderly and clean work area including equipment promoting good safety habits for patients and co-workers

(5%) CT/Imaging Department Support

1. Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades


2. Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary


3. Assists with training of new team members, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable

(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned

Required:

1. High School diploma, or equivalent


2. Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography


3. ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing


4. Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable


5. Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification


6. Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform CT procedures independently


7. Certification in imaging specialty
