Job summary

RAYUS Radiology in Baxter, MN is opening an outpatient imaging center and seeks a CT Technologist to perform high-quality CT exams and support MRI cross-training.

This full-time role runs Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, with a pay range of $30–$50 per hour based on experience. New center anticipated December 2026.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of AMA approved school of radiography.
• ARRT registered technologist in good standing.
• Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
• Current CPR certification.
• Must be able to competently perform CT procedures independently.
• Certification in imaging specialty.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT examinations.
• Screen patients before exams and verify identifiers.
• Explain procedures and position patients appropriately.
• Adjust scan parameters; apply dose-reduction techniques.
• Maintain RIS records and follow safety regulations.
• Maintain equipment and comply with ACR accreditation requirements.
• Assist with cross-training MRI and X-ray coverage.
• Support department with training and coverage as needed.

Job description

Exciting news! We are opening an outpatient imaging center in Baxter in December 2026! Come be part of our team as we continue to grow and care for those in our community. Anticipated start date September-October 2026.

The pay range for this position is $30.00-$50.00 based on direct and relevant experience. RAYUS now offers DailyPay! We are seeking a skilled and adaptable CT Technologist to join our imaging team. The primary responsibility of this position is performing high-quality CT examinations while also supporting the department through cross-training in MRI and providing X-ray coverage. This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday from 8:00am-4:30pm.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(90%) Patient CT Imaging

1. Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedure
2. Explains and prepares patients for scanning imaging procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately
3. Performs routine and advanced scanning imaging procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeats scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure
4. Adjusts scanning scan parameters correctly and as needed, utilizing dose reduction techniques as appropriate
5. Follows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)
6. Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements
7. Maintains an orderly and clean work area including equipment promoting good safety habits for patients and co-workers

(5%) CT/Imaging Department Support

1. Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades
2. Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary
3. Assists with training of new team members, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable

(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned

Required:

1. High School diploma, or equivalent
2. Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
3. ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing
4. Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
5. Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
6. Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform CT procedures independently
7. Certification in imaging specialty
