Job summary

Lee's Summit Medical Center is seeking a CT Technologist PRN to join our imaging team. You will perform routine and specialized CT imaging procedures in accordance with department standards, delivering high-quality images for physicians' diagnostic use.

Ideal candidates will have AMA-accredited Radiology training or ARRT CT and Radiographer certifications, BCLS within 30 days, and 2 years of CT experience preferred. Join a team committed to patient care and professional excellence.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-accredited radiology program or degree in Radiology Technology.
• Registered CT Technologist (CT) within 1 year of employment start date.
• Registered Radiographer (ARRT) within 1 year of employment start date.
• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• Two years of CT experience preferred with additional CT training.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT equipment and perform routine and specialized imaging procedures.
• Position patients on CT table and assist with IV starts as needed.
• Assess image quality and adjust parameters for optimal results.
• Provide post-procedure instructions and ensure patient comfort.
• Prepare and turnover room using aseptic technique; clean equipment.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The CT Technologist performs routine and specialized imaging procedures in the application of ionizing radiationin accordance withthe established professional and departmental standards.The CT Tech provides high-quality computerized tomography images of theused by physiciansfor diagnosis and treatment. What you will do in this role:

• You will compassionatelyassistand position patients onCTtable.
• You will start IVs for contrast injection and when necessary.
• You will assess image quality and make adjustments when necessary.
• You will releasecustomerwith proper post procedure instructions.
• You will turn over and prepareroomusingaseptictechnique between patients and clean / sterilize equipment.
• You will follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

What qualifications you will need:

• Prefer Graduate of an accredited AMA program with a certificate or Prefer degree in Radiology Technology.
• Registered Computerized Tomography Technician (CT) must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
• Registered Radiographer (ARRT) must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
• BCLSrequiredwithin30 daysof start date.
• Two years of experience preferred withadditionaltraining in CT scanning.
