Job summary

TriCities Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a PRN CT Technologist to perform CT procedures and support patient care.

The role requires ARRT licensure, radiologic technology education, and at least 1 year of radiologic experience with a CT focus. PRN schedule and ongoing training are available to contribute to high-quality imaging services.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited Radiologic Technology Program or equivalent with appropriate National Registry(ies).
• One year experience as Radiologic Technologist.
• One year experience in performing CT procedures (preferred).
• ARRT (R) Registered (Required).
• ARRT (CT) Registered (Required - within 6 months of hire).
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required).

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients and collects information for procedures.
• Performs CT procedures and monitors patient condition.
• Adheres to ALARA and radiation safety policies.
• Operates Meditech, PACS, and related systems.
• Manages records to expedite results.
• Administers contrast media as required.
• Performs venipuncture and IV site placement.
• Participates in continuing education for CT skills.

Job Summary and Qualifications

• Prepares patients, collects relevant information for completion of procedures.

• Performs all CT Procedures. Observant of patients’ conditions.

• Practices radiation safety as described in federal standards, utilizing ALARA and Radiation Right policies.

• Understands and operates electronic information systems including Meditech, PACS, PACS cube, eMar etc.

• Compiles appropriate records to expedite results.

• Administers contrast media as required.

• Performs venipuncture and IV site placement.

• Participates in continuing education activities to expand/enhance knowledge of CT and to meet the continuing education requirements of the ARRT.

• Participates in Department QA/performance improvement projects.

• Assists radiologist with interventional procedures.

• Render patient care in a professional and courteous manner.

• Other duties as assigned.

LICENSURE/EDUCATION:

• Graduate of an Accredited Radiologic Technology Program or equivalent with appropriate National Registry(ies). Required

• One year experience as Radiologic Technologist Required

• One year experience in performing CT procedures Preferred

• ARRT (R) Registered Required

• ARRT (CT) Registered Required -must obtain within 6 months of hire or start in position

• Basic Cardiac Life Support Required
