Lake-Granbury-Medical-Center is seeking a CT Technologist I to operate CT equipment and produce high-quality diagnostic images while prioritizing patient safety and comfort. You will prepare patients, position them properly, and work with radiologists to deliver timely results.

Responsibilities include administering contrast, monitoring for adverse reactions, assisting with interventional CT procedures, and performing quality control on equipment.

Qualifikationen

• 1-2 years of clinical experience acquired through an accredited radiologic sciences program required
• 2-4 years of experience as a CT Technologist in an acute care hospital setting preferred

Aufgaben

• Operates CT equipment and processing systems to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
• Prepares and positions patients appropriately for CT procedures.
• Ensures accurate patient identification, verifies physician orders, and screens patients for contraindications to the examination.
• Performs point-of-care creatinine testing and calculates GFR when required for contrast studies.
• Administrates contrast media following safety protocols and monitors for adverse reactions.
• Explains procedures clearly to patients and provides instructions during and after the exam.
• Collaborates with radiologists and healthcare team members to ensure patient-centered care.
• Assists with interventional CT procedures such as biopsies or drain placements.
• Reviews images for technical accuracy and communicates findings to the radiologist.
• Documents patient history and correlates it with imaging studies.
• Maintains and performs regular quality control on CT equipment.
• Responds to emergency situations per facility protocols.
• Maintains a clean, stocked work area and ensures CT readiness.
• Follows PPE and infection control and radiation safety guidelines.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Maintains regular attendance and compliance with policies.
