Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills with physicians, patients and staff.
• Ability to explain procedures and minimize patient anxiety using AIDET.
• Competent in CT, positioning, exposure factors and radiation protection.

Responsibilities

• Verify clinician orders for procedures.
• Obtain clinical history and assess contraindications.
• Prepare and position patient, operate CT equipment and ensure image quality.
• Verify patient identity with two identifiers per policy.
• Maintain infection control and equipment cleanliness.
• Assist other technologists and respond to emergencies.
• Document and report preprocedural verification and Time Out.
