Job summary

IU Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specialized in CT to operate the CT scanner and prepare patients. You will screen patients, administer contrast, obtain IV access, and ensure safety, with timely collaboration with radiologists.

Must maintain radiation safety, perform QC, and participate in ongoing education. Schedule includes evening shifts and holiday rotation; onsite work in Bedford Park, IL.

Qualifications

• Requires 0-3 years of relevant experience.
• Basic Life Support certification through the AHA is required.
• Requires ARRT or NMTCB certification within 12 months of hire.
• Must hold or obtain Indiana ISDH license for Radiologic/Nuclear Medicine Technologist.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT scanner and prepare/position patients for imaging.
• Screen patients for safe scanning and contrast administration.
• Obtain IV access and administer contrast as required.
• Recognize and respond to adverse contrast events.
• Select appropriate protocols and adjust scan parameters for diagnostic images.
• Collaborate with radiologists and referring physicians.
• Follow radiation safety protocols and perform routine QC on equipment.
• Maintain EMR documentation and stay current with education.
• Assist in minimally invasive procedures as needed.
