Job summary

IU Health seeks a Radiologic Technologist positioned to operate CT scanners, prepare and position patients, and ensure safety. The role involves screen­ing for safe contrast administration, obtaining IV access, and adjusting parameters for diagnostic quality.

Candidates must be BLS certified and hold ARRT/NMTCB CT certification within 12 months, plus ISDH licensure. 0–3 years’ experience preferred, with strong teamwork and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association is required.
  • ARRT or NMTCB CT certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire.
  • Active Indiana ISDH license as Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technologist is required.
  • 0-3 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Operates CT scanner and prepares/positions patients.
  • Screens patients for safe scanning and contrast administration.
  • Obtains IV access and administers contrast as required.
  • Adjusts scan parameters to obtain diagnostic images.
  • Collaborates with radiologists and referring physicians.
  • Follows radiation safety protocols and performs routine QC on equipment.
  • Documents information in EMR and supports team communication.
  • Assists with minimally invasive procedures as needed.
