Job summary

Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, NY is seeking a CT technologist to perform CAT scan procedures under the radiologist's direction, applying ionizing radiation for diagnostic imaging with independence and initiative.

Responsibilities include patient preparation, image acquisition, biopsy support, image labeling and archiving, and strict adherence to radiation safety. Requires ARRT CT certification and NYS licensure, plus an approved radiologic technology program.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Formal radiologic technology training program meeting ARRT certification requirements.
• NYS Licensed/Registered Radiologic Technologist with ARRT CT certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and room; enter data in Epic or other systems.
• Obtain cross sectional images with proper protocols.
• Assist radiologist during biopsy procedures as needed.
• Label, process, and store scan images for interpretation.
• Maintain records of image slices and injections; enforce radiation safety.
