Job summary

UNC Health Care in Chapel Hill is seeking a CT Technologist to perform CT procedures and analyze diagnostic data, predominantly in outpatient settings with additional opportunities at Medical Center and Hillsborough Hospital.

You will identify patients, administer contrast when appropriate, acquire and reconstruct CT images, transfer images to PACS/EMR, maintain accuracy, and precept colleagues. This is a per diem, onsite role with hourly pay ranging from $33.37 to $47.97.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Science program or completion within 3 months of application.
• Must be registered with ARRT (CT) or NMTCB CT, or registry-eligible with diploma.
• Advanced CT certification within 12 months of employment.
• Must obtain and maintain registry status and annual CE requirements.
• Maintain current BLS competency.

Responsibilities

• Identify patients, verify information, and ensure patient safety and understanding.
• Acquire CT images per protocol, perform reconstructions and adjust window/level as needed.
• Administer contrast when appropriate and monitor for safety.
• Transfer images to PACS/EMR and ensure accurate charge information.
• Maintain clean workspace, document incidents, and precept trainees.
